Town Hall meeting

CALLING ALL CORINTHIANS 

Your Board of Directors is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday evening, September 9^th at 1900 hours in the Member Dining Room.  No…we are not going to be announcing a universal healthcare plan for all Members, so we ask that you please keep the disruptions and outbursts to a minimum!  The purpose of this gathering is to provide a preliminary forum to discuss topics that will be addressed at this year’s Annual Meeting of the Membership on Friday, November 13, and to answer related questions.  We envision the discussion will focus primarily on proposed Bylaw amendments, some substantive (for example, modifications to Life Membership provisions) and others more along the lines of a broad clean-up to provide clarity and consistency throughout the Bylaws.  A red-lined version of the proposed Bylaw amendments will be available on the website in early September should you wish to review those prior to the Town Hall Meeting. 

Although the main purpose of this meeting is to answer questions about the Bylaw changes, the board will also be happy to address other club-related questions, but will reserve the right to table any discussions which are not on-point or would require a much longer, separate discussion. To help us prepare for your inquiries, whether related to the Bylaws or other matters, please submit questions to me in advance via e-mail at commodore@cyc.org no later than September 8^th.
