If Santa were a Sailor, He'd be a Corinthian!

Seasons Greetings from your CYC

We hope that the holiday season treats you well and that it is all you hope it to be

The Clubhouse was hopping last night (Saturday) with almost a full house in the Dining room. Tonight should be a good night too. Here's a hint...order the ribeye or the lamb is there is any left on the menu.

The club will be closed on Monday, but open with light snacks and full bar from 2-9pm from the 26th through the 29th. Come on by and enjoy your club

Name that Boat

Santa came early and brought an orange inflatable to replace Mermaid which had begun to show her age. While we, as Corinthians are not COMPLETELY in favor of replacing things that are showing their age, in Mermaid's case, we had to make an exception.

The inflatable is orange, making her visible and distinguishable from the yellow SFYC boat and red USCG boats of similar manufacturer.

RC Sharon Barr solicited name suggestions, getting over 300, including what seemed like 100 from Ed Fischer alone (Insert your own joke about blind squirrels or monkeys at a typewriter here). Through a careful winnowing process, the list has been reduced to four, on which a poll is being taken. They are:

  • Charlie
  • Corinthian Spirit
  • Orange Crush
  • Sea? Why Si!

Last Minute Shopping? Ketch the Fever

There are some very nice items at the CYC store yet for the acquiring. Fleecy warm things, CYC-flagged things. Sailory-manly things. And where else can you shop with a snifter of super-premium rum in your paw? Shopping at CYC. It's a good thing.
