Couple of points to consider: The currents will be strong and ebbing. We will work to give you do-able courses. Think cone. Think islands. Hope for breeze. Saturday's forecast is for Northeast winds 5-10 knots. The race may not always go to the swift, but it will surely go to the clever.

Schocked!

One thing we get to do with the division splits is match up classes of boats to see how their ratings stack up. YRA likes this info for PHRF ratings. Case in point is PHRF 5. Four Cal 20s (Bill Lapworth design) vs three Santana 22s and a Harbor 20 (Schock designs). Sounds like a great grudge match. Other fun matchups: 1D35's vs Beneteau 40.7 in PHRF2, Express 37 vs J/109, Beneteau 36 vs J/105. We have a killer line-up in the All-Catalina fleet, and the SF Bay 30 fleet. And down in PHRF5, we will see the IOD's try to beat up on the poor little Moore 24s.
