Holiday Festivities are Upon Us: Decorate, Nog, Santa, New Years, Midwinters!
Ho Ho Ho!
Or, whatever Holiday Greeting floats your boat.
December brings us the beginning of what passes for winter in our blessed clime. You're probably wondering, "Oh, whatever will happen at CYC next?"
Wednesday, Annual Holiday Decorating, November 28, at 6:00 pm. All members are invited to drop by the club and join TCW in decorating the club for the Holidays. There will be soup, chili, salad and beverages for all volunteers. We hope to see you there as we kick-off the holidays at CYC!

And it's time to get lit!
Our dock denizens have pointed out that it is time to get those boats decorated. Hey, wouldn't it be cool if all the boats were decorated in time for the Egg Nog party? Well, here's a deal: you get the harbor decorated, and we'll put in a new webcam pointed at the harbor so you can see the boats all night.
Did someone say 'Nog?'
Yup. Nog. That creamy sweet elixir that says "Hey, I am invulnerable!" TCW are sponsoring the annual Egg Nog party once again. Not familiar with the format? Okay, dress nice, bring hors d'oeuvres for 20, get the kids a babysitter and plan for a relaxing evening at the club. No reservations, no fee. Remember to take your plate or platter home with you, because otherwise we will use the leftover ones as trophies at the Midwinters. Don't believe me? Just try us.
Seriously, though, this is one of the most enjoyable land events at CYC. Something about the do-it-ourselves nature of the event rings so nicely. Or is it the Iron Chef challenge of the appetizers? Prepare for Battle Swedish Meatballs!
Where's Santa?
Well, on December 9, he's at CYC.
Check out the info at our website. Santa arrives by yacht at 12:30. Brunch will be served from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Holiday Face Painting for the children during brunch Sign up early because this sells out every year, and then you'll end up having to take a sack lunch to Toys R Us or something.Read all about it!.
New Years Masked Ball
Did you open your bill? Did you see the very cool "save the date" insert? Masked Ball for New Years. How cool is that? Well, there should be more in this month's bill. The organizers have big things in mind, none of which has anything to do with Giuseppe Verdi.

MIDWINTERS
January 19-20 and February 16-17. I think one of these is a Federal Holiday. Oh wait! BOTH weekends are 3-day holidays. Score! Okay, major festivities planned for the Biggest and Best Midwinters on the bay, and now the only one on the third full weekend of the month!
Okay, that's it then. Carry on.
