Error-Free Racing!
Yup! That's our goal. Okay, let's be honest, the goal over the last three races has been just to finish the darned thing. Through selection of aggressively short courses last week, we accomplished that (gotta clear out the glasses somehow....).
Now, with a steady weather pattern settling in for the weekend, maybe we try a bit longer.

Feeling Lucky?
Well, Saturday was perhaps the prettiest day sailing one can imagine. Clear blue skies, unseasonably mild. Smooth still water. Not a breath of wind.

Almost there!
Couple of points to consider: The currents will be strong and ebbing. We will work to give you do-able courses. Think cone. Think islands. Hope for breeze. Saturday's forecast is for Northeast winds 5-10 knots. The race may not always go to the swift, but it will surely go to the clever.
20th Anniversary Midwin SI's Now Posted

January 19-20 and February 16-17. CYC MidWInters. Not CYC's 20th, mine! The CYC Midwins must be at least 30 years old now. Most likely, the Miwok competed in leather-covered canoes as they paddled over to what we now call Angel Island to gather shells and hunt deer. Think about it, MidWinter boat races have been here for centuries.
If the Miwok had had a YRA, they'd probably still be racing today. But enough history...
