The Corinthian Yacht Club Speaker Series

Mark Rudiger

September 18, 2003
“Ocean Racing: Alive and Well!”

The Corinthian Yacht Club is proud to announce that Mark Rudiger, one of the best ocean racing navigators in the world, will be speaking in person at the Corinthian Yacht Club on Thursday, September 18.

Mark has been the navigator on five first-to-finish Transpac boats, two Sydney to Hobart first-to-finish boats, and this summer, first to finish on the inaugural Daimler-Chrysler TransAtlantic race.

He was the navigator on Assa Abloy in the Round-the-World, coming in 2nd, and he was the co-skipper with Paul Cayard on EF Language, which came in first in the 1997/98 Round the World.

As a regular on Sayonara and Pegasus, Mark brings an amazing perspective on the state of long-distance ocean races.  Come get that perspective in person directly from Mark.

The doors will open at the club at 6pm, and a buffet ($10/person) and a no-host bar will be available. Mark will start his talk around 7:00, and we expect to wrap up around 9:00. Admission is only $10 per person.

We strongly encourage you to make reservations, as there will be limited seating. To make reservations, please call the club at 415-435-4771 or visit the online reservations form.
