Cruise Sold Out

COMMODORE’S CRUISE 2018
March 10 - 21, 2017

I would like to tell you about the 2018 Commodore’s Cruise.  Why announce it a year in advance, you ask?   Because it will sell out almost immediately.  
We have selected a very unique “Bucket List” cruise opportunity that most of us have never done, or even considered.  
This particular “ship” is new, small, high end and cruises an unusual itinerary…..the lower Mississippi from Memphis to New Orleans.  
I have pre-booked as many staterooms as possible, but deposits will be required to confirm it.  The boat has 83 suites (166 passengers) and we expect to take over at least half of them.  

Why this cruise?  Why now?  Here is the checklist we came up with…

This is truly a once in a lifetime experience
We will be calling this a Music & History cruise - Mark Twain may be on board…and a few other celebrities….TBA
Memphis and New Orleans are easy and cheap to get to.  No flying half way around the world.
We are planning pre and post cruise activities; Graceland, Beale Street, museums, BB King’s club….and that’s just Memphis.  NO is still being worked on.  Think the French Quarter. Entertainment every night on the boat….Broadway, Blues, Jazz, Rock n Roll.  We may even bring our own band on board. 
As a large group, we will be enjoying a discount which is reflected in the attached flyer.  Additional discounts will be distributed to all guests based on the number of cabins we book.  Dinner wine, beer, shore excursions and other perks that are usually charged for are included.
We have confirmed the first part of March when it is not too hot, not too humid, and no bugs…
The American Duchess targets a younger crowd…..or at least younger than me.  Mississippi River boats have traditionally attracted the more sedate clientele.  Fast or slow….all CYC members are welcome and encouraged to do the cruise.

I know this is a lot to consider, especially a year in advance, but look at this way.  If you commit now, make a deposit, you don’t have to worry about it for months.  
Except to dream about all the cool stuff you will be doing on the Ol Miss.
