Dana Riley International Competitive Racer
When Dana was 12, the Riley family spent one year sailing from Michigan through the Caribbean and back – over 10,000 miles. She started competitive racing in 1984 participating in international regattas such as Cassis Cup, Farr 40 Worlds, and Farr 30 Worlds (which she won). Dana’s experience racing on all-women teams began in 1995, and includes participation in the Ficker Cup (which she won), the Rolex International Women’s Keelboat Championship (she placed 2nd), and the US Sailing Women’s Match Racing Circuit & Championship.
Ashley Perrin Delivery Captain & Offshore Racer
Ashley has over 80,000 ocean miles of racing and deliveries on a variety of yachts. She has raced offshore since age 13, starting in the English Channel. With 5 Fastnets, 2 Transatlantics, 5 Pacific crossings, 2 Round Britain and Ireland races to her credit, racing has taken her all over the world. In 2006 she was onboard Lively Lady II the winner of the St David's Lighthouse Division in the 100th Newport Bermuda Race, she was also on the winning boat in the Rolex Transatlantic Race 2005 and 2009.
Sue Fox Family Cruiser, Liveaboard & Science Teacher
She started sailing as a teen and dreamed of traveling to tropical islands and raising her family on a boat. Her inspiring stories of her family’s bond and their adventures at sea as well as their future cruising plans are not to be missed. Sue has a degree in Aquatic Biology and teaches High School environmental science and chemistry.
Cathy Stierhoff Local Racer & Retired CPA
Cathy started sailing lessons in 1983 and has been racing since 1989. She is very active in the san Francisco Bay racing community having raced in beer-cans and one-design races as well as being part of an all-woman race team. Cathy has participated in the Sausalito Yacht Club Women’s Regatta, and has won her division and achieved overall regatta honors on several occasions. In the Three Bridge Fiasco of 2006, Cathy finished first in her division and third overall.
