September 6-11, our well-liked Folkboat fleet returns to CYC for their International Regatta. From an opening international ceremony (featuring national flags and anthems of the participating nations, as well as our own aquavit fairy -- initials: P.B.) to a closing banquet in the Ballroom, our Clubhouse should sparkle as these classic and aggressively-raced yachts compete for top honors. Corinthian members are invited. Whether it's volunteering for race committee (http://cyc.org/signup/sign-race-committee-spot) or attending the events, CYC members are an integral part of this affair. Some particular dates to keep in mind:
September 6: Opening Ceremony in the late afternoon
Come on down to the Club by yourself or with a guest, for a fun day on the Bay. This is a great way to meet other Corinthians, to get out on the water, invite some friends to come with you, and to learn about other boats. How do you sign up? Please use our website with as much lead time as possible. A confirming Email is also a good idea. Then just: 1) show up at noon, order a lunch if you want, and get your boat assignment 2) go out on your assigned boat for 2-3 hours of fun on the Bay. Remember to wear non-marking boat shoes, and a bring a PFD if you have one. For more info contact Bruce Janigian at (916) 606-2995 or email@example.com.Full Story
